Use of the new online licensing system requires that you have a valid email address on file with the Board of Social Work. We will be reaching out to ensure we have this on file for you, but please let us know if the existing email we have for you is no longer valid. You should expect email correspondence regarding this soon.
We will be migrating your existing licenses onto our new online platform on October 6, 2025. This means that a few weeks prior to our launch date, you will receive two emails for your active license that you have with us. One email will have your username, and the second will have an activation link. We will send out another preparatory email to remind you of this just prior to the activation emails going out. You should expect messages regarding this to come from our new system, so please be on the lookout for an email from us.
New initial applications for Kentucky licenses are already online. Please visit our Licensure page and click APPLY ONLINE at the top of the page. This link will direct you to create a profile, username, and password prior to submitting your application.
As when using any online system, it is critical that you have a stable internet connection during use. Finally, PLEASE NOTE, Internet Explorer has not been supported by Microsoft for some time and should not be relied on for use with our online licensing system. Please ensure you have installed a modern browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari) before attempting to apply or renew.
