New Online Licensing System
We are aware of the issues currently affecting the system, and we are working diligently to resolve them as quickly as possible. We respectfully ask for your patience during this time.
As part of the data migration from the previous system to the new platform, some information transferred incorrectly. These discrepancies are being actively addressed.
We are also aware that some licenses appear as expired. If your license is listed incorrectly, please email our office so we may correct the record.
The start/issue date currently reflects the date the data migration was completed. We are working with our IT team to restore each license’s original issue date. This information has been updated in our internal system and should now display correctly in your account and online.
Some licenses that were issued in the previous system did not migrate into the new system. We have identified these cases and are in the process of adding them manually.
The license verification section should now be operational. However, if an employer or insurance agency is unable to verify your license—including your initial issue date—they may contact our office by phone or by emailing Brooke.Jones@ky.gov.
The application section is functioning, but if you experience any issues, please call our office or email VanessaG.Jones@ky.gov.
Please remember the following:
- Graduate students who are within six weeks of their graduation date should upload an unofficial transcript to their application.
- CSWs who have completed their two-year supervision contract and obtained the required 150 supervision hours, and who are ready to apply for the LCSW exam/license, should upload the appropriate supervision documents at the time of application. An official transcript does not need to be resubmitted.
If you submitted an application or received approval to sit for the exam in the previous system (prior to June 2025), you will need to submit a new application in the current system. We cannot issue licenses or reapprove candidates using the prior system. Please create or log in to your Board account to submit the updated application.
The renewal section is also operational. If you encounter issues, please call the office or email Marc.Kelly@ky.gov. He is also reviewing all CSW supervision contracts submitted online, so any questions regarding your contract may be directed to him.
We hope this update is helpful. Due to the high volume of calls, you may experience delays in reaching us. If you are unable to get through, please leave a voicemail or send an email so we may respond as soon as possible. We are working as quickly as we can and appreciate your continued patience as we become familiar with the new system.
